ABOUT OUR MINISTRY

Who is this for?

The Young Adult ministry at FBCO is for anyone single, engaged, or married (without kids) ages 22 to early 30’s. If you’re still in college, or college-age (18-22), we want you to be plugged into the FBCO College Ministry. @fbcocollege. If you’re married with kids, we have other ministry areas already available for you at FBCO! What is the goal of the ministry?

We desire to create a place where Young Adults from all over our area can come together to grow in their faith, make friends, build community, and be mobilized to further the Gospel in their friend groups, their workplaces, and to the nations.

Why is this new ministry launching?

Our church realizes that oftentimes Young Adults get overlooked. In most stages of life, there is a natural place to connect and belong, but when you’re in your 20’s it can be tough to find your place. We want to change that. We desire to see this become a thriving ministry where people grow in their relationship with Jesus + develop solid Christian community.

When will gatherings happen?

We have large group gatherings. Gatherings take place at FBCO and consist of worship through singing, hearing the Word preached by one our pastors, and guided prayer time. One of our main goals is to build a solid community of Young Adults to do life together. In addition to our monthly gathering, we will provide opportunities (hangouts) to have fun and spend time together. These hangouts could range from something simple like grabbing dinner together to something more involved like a Saturday white water rafting trip. Do I have to be a member of FBCO to attend?

Nope! Of course, we would love for you to become part of our faith family, but you are welcome to join us for any of our gatherings, even if you aren’t a member of FBCO. We believe God is going to use this ministry to strengthen the faith community of our area. We would love for you join us!
